Information regarding Bantam birth year 1997 travel team:

The bantam 97 team will be a USA Hockey tier II team that will participate in the PAHL and will play a competitive schedule of tournaments and scrimmage games to promote high level player development. Participation on this team will require some travel outside the Pittsburgh area to participate in birth year 1997 AA tournaments and scrimmage games. There may also be some opportunities for scrimmage games with AAA 1997 birth year competition. It is expected that the team will travel outside the Pittsburgh area 6-8 times during the season (between August and March) to destinations such as Columbus, Cleveland, southern Ontario (Toronto area), Buffalo, Michigan, and Virginia. In addition to on-ice practices (approximately 2 per week), the team will have an age appropriate dryland strengthening and conditioning program.
